The Sisters. Intimate Spaces.

The graduation work is a series of dyptychs telling stories about sisters. The author treats intimacy as a key to building space – both the aesthetic one and the one between siblings. The intimacy captured in the paintings blurs the contours. It also makes things previously unseen clearer and things previously obvious distant. The author also manipulates notions of closeness and distance. The audience becomes a witness of vague events hidden behind the veil of intimacy.
