The Passage

‘The Passage’ is a series of paintings about the author’s Road to Santiago (Camino de Santiago) in 2013. It is a symbolic event which took place after the closing of an important stage in the author’s life, meaning the end of art education and the beginning of independent artistic career. It is also an attempt to redefine some concepts and artistic standpoints. Working on a landscape, a type of painting which is often disregarded in contemporary art, serves the purpose of redefining this genre and finding new inspiration.
